Photonics has dramatically expanded and progressed in recent years. Photonics technologies and solutions are widely implemented in measuring and testing because of their flexibility, reliability and contact-less nature. The 18th IMEKO TC 2 Symposium on Photonics in Measurements 2008 will summarise the impact and contribution of Photonics to the field of measurements.
