Abstract:
Working principles and configuration of distributed optical fiber sensor (DOFS) system is introduced briefly in this paper. Methods to improve performance of the system are put forward. Parameters of the system are listed as following: fiber length is 2km; temperature uncertainty is ±1℃; temperature resolution is 0.1℃; spatial resolution is 3m; measurement time is 15s; Operation temperature range is 0-40℃. Application in coal-mine temperature measuring and fire alarm is also introduced.
